The Anemomaster™ Professional is an excellent choice for most HVAC applications. Its accuracy rating is 3% m.v. which is equal to our competitor’s high end units. This professional anemometer comes standard with data logging for 1500 records, PC software so you can download and analyze data or prepare a report for a customer, and an articulating telescopic probe that makes it easy to measure at the proper 90-degree angle even for those tricky ceiling ducts.
The unit can also be programmed with several duct sizes and shapes (square, rectangular or round) and then give you volumetric flow rates for those ducts. The unit can be ordered with an optional sensor to measure pressure and analog output option.
The Anemomaster Anemometer Standard model is an affordable alternative for the contractor seeking an economical, but still highly accurate instrument. The articulating probe has been improved with enhanced durability. The modern design flexes easily and will last for many years. The telescoping feature of the probe makes it easy to take traverse measurements at ceiling ducts and other hard to reach places.

They measure the air speed by calculating how fast the probe sensor is being cooled by the airflow.
The principles behind all hot-wire anemometers may be the same, but the quality varies. Simply put, with our temperature compensation sensor, our Anemomaster Professional is highly accurate with an accuracy of +/- 3%. This is due to several factors: 1) We calibrate the temperature compensation sensor, as well as the velocity sensor. Other manufacturers only calibrate the velocity sensor. 2)We use special high-quality materials, like our platinum sensors, that increase accuracy. 3) Our manufacturing facility uses not 1, but 4 specialized wind tunnels to test and calibrate our anemometers. These wind tunnels include a low velocity tunnel, high tunnel velocity and a variable temperature wind tunnel. 4) We’ve been making anemometers for over 80 years. During that time we’ve perfected our knowledge and refined our manufacturing process to produce a research-grade instrument.
Yes, all our instruments come with a calibration certificate.
Kanomax recommends annual calibration to ensure accuracy.
You can measure clean air between -4 and 158°F (-20 to 70°C) in an environment with no visible condensation. (Please note: the temperature range given is for the probes).
No, these are thermal anemometers that generate heat when in operation; if you expose them to a flammable gas it could cause a fire or explosion. Corrosive or caustic gases, such a chlorine, will damage the sensor on contact. While it is possible to use the instrument in a non-flammable, non-caustic gases the instrument is not calibrated for these gases and it will not measure airflow accurately.
No. Unfortunately these options are built into the main unit and must be ordered with the unit. They cannot be added later.
Windows XP (32-bit only), Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 10. (Please Note: Anemomaster Professional comes with software. It is available as an option for the Climomaster.)
The unit ships in a hard carrying case and includes a meter with probe, 6 x AA batteries, and a NIST traceable calibration certificate.
